In the 1940's the American jewellery company Trifari produced a range of these rag doll pin brooches and they were given the name of Nanette and Rin Tin Tin, design registered by A. Philipe, and marked Trifari in 1943.  These are unmarked and research shows that there was an influx of these unmarked during the 1950's. Whether they are an unmarked Trifari range, or whether they were copied by another company is unknown. The Trifari ones were produced in gold with coloured cabochons as well as silver. Originals are highly priced, so enjoying this cute pair just arrived from America along with their history is a great way to enjoy authentic vintage pieces.  Measurement of both the boy and girl is 3.5cms x 2.5cms. Great on the collar of a shirt or jacket. In very good condition with a firm roll over safety clasp.  Really cute, and gift boxed by Vintageonline.
